My introduction to homeopathy began as a patient, and has culminated in my becoming a Homeopath. I have a great respect for homeopathic medicine and the amazing results that can be achieved when classical homeopathy is applied to almost any ailment.
I have had extensive experience with different modalities of medicine and health care. Through this, I have fostered a great appreciation for non-invasive, gentle, curative medicine. My experience includes counselling and rehabilitative work with dually diagnosed adults, social work, personal counselling, rape crisis counselling, doula (labour and delivery assistance) and lactation support, prenatal education and as a Homeopath and homeopathic educator.
I love to work with adults, children and animals, and I am pleased to offer house calls as an option for appointments.
I am also available to provide informational seminars about homeopathy as it relates to first aid, pregnancy and labour, children's health, menopause, allergies, colds & the flu, sprains & strains, stress & anxiety and a variety of other topics upon request.
I am committed to ensuring that I am an effective and proficient practitioner and am a member of NUPATH (National United Professional Association of Trained Homeopaths, the largest and oldest national professional association for homeopaths in Canada).
In addition to graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from York University in 1991, I attended the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine, graduating in 2003. There I received extensive training in anatomy and physiology, clinical nutrition, pathology, counselling and physical examination. I further studied homeopathic treatment as it relates to neurology, immunology, gastroenterology, gynecology, urology, rheumatology, respirology, proctology, dermatology, gerontology, cardiology and psychology / psychiatry.
I continued my studies by attending a post graduate program in Hahnemannian homeopathy, “Homeopathy by the Book,” with world renowned Homeopath Dr. Joseph Kellerstein.
I have lectured for the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Noah’s Natural Foods, Baby on the Hip, With Child and The Big Carrot. I have worked as a doula since 1997, lecture for the Sherbourne Health Centre about fertility awareness and reproductive health and have been a prenatal educator since 2001.
In 2008, I returned to the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine as a clinical externship supervisor and lecturer. My enthusiasm for classical homeopathy is evident in my teaching as well as in my clinical work. I feel that Homeopathy is a life-long learning process and continue to be involved in mentorship relationships and peer study groups.
